Our next concert, of Opera Favourites, will be on Sunday, 19th September, at 2 pm in the James Tatoulis Auditorium at MLC in Barkers Road, Kew.
At present, the choruses being considered for inclusion in the programme include:
• Chorus of Hebrew Slaves from Nabucco by Verdi
• Anvil Chorus from Il Trovatore by Verdi
• Brindisi from La Traviata by Verdi
• Spinning Chorus from The Flying Dutchman by Wagner
• Humming Chorus from Madama Butterfly by Puccini
• Soldier’s Chorus from Il Trovatore by Verdi
• Habanera from Carmen by Bizet
• Dido’s Lament, and final chorus from Dido and Aeneas by Purcell
• Pilgrim’s Chorus from Tannhauser by Wagner
These selections are subject to change, depending on the balance of singers in the choir.
Soloists will be Jane O’Toole (soprano), Kerrie Bolton (mezzo-soprano) and Roy Best (tenor).
